Covid-19 has been shaking the world for a few months already and all sports activities were suspended, making it a hard blow for the fans. Being a rugby fan during these days might be difficult times, as you won’t be able to go to the stadiums to support your team but there are also benefits to it.
Here are some pros and cons of being a rugby fan during the pandemics.
For some people, this was the perfect opportunity to get up to date with the league, allowing them to carefully watch every detail and strategy of the game.
Also, people are glad to keep themselves safe at home.
On the other hand, watching old matches from the comfort of your home allows you to enjoy a good beer and snack while keeping you safe.
Nevertheless, fans found each other during these hard times by interacting through social media.
Some are frustrated for not going to a single match in over 3 months, missing the intensity experienced while on the stadium.
The important limitation of not being able to go to a match has been quite hard for us and not being able to go back to a sports bar or to the stadium sucks.
In conclusion, although live rugby can be a unique and vital passion you need to experience, it is also wonderful to keep you and your family safe from any pandemic. While the league has not resumed yet, I’d love having the opportunity to discuss your favourite teams and players.
